Hoi An City pace of life

Hoi An Ancient City came alive with sparkling multicoloured lanterns and crowds of tourists during the 5th Quang Nam Heritage Festival.
The Quang Nam Heritage Festival which will last until June 26 is a chance to promote world cultural heritages in Vietnam and ASEAN countries, as well as their gastronomy to international friends. Arts and cultural activities will also be held during the festival to promote tourism and foreign investment.

Tens of thousands of visitors came to Hoi An City, Quang Nam province to join the re-enacting of the ancient city in the 20th century and visit cultural spaces open during the festival. |

Ancient houses along Hoai River were sparkling with electric lights. Boats were hired for tourists to enjoy drifting on the poetic river. |

On June 21, the Vietnam – ASEAN cultural heritage space opened, introducing to tourists the heritages of Vietnam, as well as those of other countries in the region. |

Hundreds of people sold flower garlands and coloured lanterns for tourists to release, to bring luck. |
