Quang Ninh province marks 50 years of establishment

In recent days, there has been a bustling atmosphere at ongoing constructions to mark the 50th year of establishment of Quang Ninh province.

 The roads surrounding Bai Tho Mountain; the Lan Be road next to the seaside; the Dong Ho pillar and Ha Long cultural park are among key constructions invested to celebrate the 50th year of the establishment of the province.

 

 The provincial museum and library are situated in Ha Long City. With its unique architecture, the structure is divided into three blocks, linked together by an overhead bridge system. The project, on a total area of 6,500 square metres, is built with over VND900 billion. 

 

 The project to bring power to Co To Island has great significance in boosting the rapid and sustainable development of Co To Island, building it to become an island region of dynamic economic development in the seas and islands development strategy of the province.

The project to upgrade national road 18C is identified as a key construction to boost socio-economic development, gradually completing the traffic infrastructure in the province’s western districts in general and Binh Lieu district in particular, and encouraging economic exchange at the Hoanh Mo border gate.

A workers’ apartment building of the Dong Bac Corporation, consisting of four 12-storey buildings, was invested with some VND400 billion, providing over 36,000 square metres in floor area with 448 flats, satisfying the accommodation demand of some 1,800-2,000 workers.

The dormitory of the Ha Long specialised school has been completed, ensuring good accommodation for pupils.

The Cai Lan Port stations have been upgraded. Stations 2, 3 and 4 have a length of 598 metres, with a crane system which can handle 7-17 lines of containers.

The Mao Khe thermo-electric plant, using environmentally friendly advanced technology, has an investment of VND 9.315 trillion.

The building of the office and housing complex Licogi 18.1 was inaugurated in October 2010 on an area of over 2,600 square metres with an investment capital of VND130 billion in Ha Long City.

Ha Long Marine Plaza trade and entertainment complex is the most modern of its kind in Quang Ninh province, with Vietnam's largest ferris wheel, the province's largest indoor recreation area, the first artificial beach in Ha Long City and an international standard cinema. It has become a tourism destination not to be missed./.
