(CPV) - The 14th annual Hanoi run for children was held at the Ciputra Hanoi International city on November 17, 2013.
The event started in 2000. It was given a new name and format in 2009, to allow more diverse ways to help disadvantaged children in Vietnam.
For more than 13 years, Hanoi run for children (HRC) has been raising awareness about corporate social responsibility and healthcare issues in Vietnam.
HRC is recognized as a popular family team building activity and a great opportunity for public and private organizations to raise their profile while showing their support for the local community.
In 2012, HRC attracted more than 7,000 participants and raised more than VND1.2 billion to assist underprivileged children with cancer and heart disease treatment at the National Hospital of Paediatrics, Hanoi Heart Hospital and in the Heart Beat Vietnam program of VinaCapital Foundation. This year, the program is expected to raise VND1.5 billion.
The program is co-organised by the Embassy of Canada in Vietnam, Vietnam – Canada Friendship Association, Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, Manulife Limited Company and Hanoi Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel.
