Trang An ecological tourism site in the northern province of Ninh Binh is home to beautiful nature with mountains, caves and water and plentiful flora and fauna.

It was recognised as a world heritage by UNESCO in 2014. |

Tourists can start their discovery journey from Trang An boat station in Truong Yen commune, Hoa Lu district which is 7 kilometres from Ninh Binh City and 96 kilometres from Hanoi. |

It has a limestone system dating some 250 million years. As time has passed it has created hundreds of valleys, caves and lagoons. |

There are 31 lakes and lagoons which are linked with 48 discovered caves, including some 2-kilometre long. |

Stalactites hang and grow with the dripping water from the roof of the caves, making the atmosphere cool all day. |
