As the 60th year of celebration of the capital city’s liberation approaches (October 10), Hanoi is coloured with flowers and flags across streets.

During its over 100 years of existence, Long Bien Bridge has witnessed the ups and downs of the capital. Sixty years ago, the final French soldiers went through the bridge to reach Gia Lam airport to withdraw from Hanoi. The national flag has flown on the historic bridge for the past 60 years. |
