Hundreds-of-year-old houses in central province

Ancient houses, which are hundreds of years old with mossy roofs are familiar images, contributing to create an elegant beautiful space around the Ho Dynasty citadel relic in the central province of Thanh Hoa.

 

 Tho Vuc village, Vinh Ninh commune, Vinh Loc district is situated near the Ho Dynasty citadel and the location of diverse houses which are hundreds of years old.

 

 Trinh Cao Binh’s house has existed for over 100 years.
The whole house was built with wood.

 

 The house is divided into 5 compartments. The decoration and architecture has been preserved as the original.

 

The good quality of wood has helped maintain the sophisticated decoration and functioning doors for hundreds of years.

 

 Two poles were built from blocks of stones weighing several hundreds of kilograms.

 

 According to the house owner, to deal with the severe climate conditions, it took months to complete the two stone poles.

 Dang Hong Tien’s house is also almost 100 years old.

 

 The wooden house was built over several months with painstaking and skillful decorations.

 

 Thanks to the unique materials and architecture, the ancient houses
have existed along with time.
