The beauty of Ba Be lake

Situated 250 kilometres from Hanoi, Ba Be lake is a fresh lake in the northern mountainous province of Bac Kan. Being one of the largest fresh lakes in the world and a part of Ba Be national park, it was recognised as a national tourism site of Vietnam.
The lake was formed over 200 years ago and lies in limestone mountains, surrounded by imposing nature. It has an area of almost 5 million square metres with a depth of up to 35 metres and contains 90 million cubic metres of water
It has become a familiar destination for domestic and foreign tourists. Scenery and human here bring a specific characteristic that cannot be seen elsewhere.
