Many people go to Va Temple for worship on first days of Lunar New Year

About 40km from Hanoi, the Va temple, located in Va hill in Van Gia village, Trung Hung ward, Son Tay town, Hanoi, was recognized as a national cultural and historical relic in 1964.

The Va temple worships the God of Tan Vien mountain (named Son Tinh), one of the Four Immortals of Vietnamese folklore. On the first days of the Lunar New Year of the Goat, many people have gone the temple to pray for good health, good fortune and happiness for their families.

At beginning of the Lunar New Year, many people also want to have                         Chinese characters to hang at home.

Along two sides of the pathway leading to the temple, many offerings  can be found for sale with local specialities, and toys for children.
