Discovering nature in the heart of Hanoi

The Vietnam National Museum of Nature under the Academy of Science and Technology at No. 18 Hoang Quoc Viet road, Cau Giay district, Hanoi is an attractive destination for nature lovers in general and a place for children to understand more about the natural world.

Although it was built on a small area, the museum has become a familiar destination for pupils and visitors.

 The model of dinosaurs from the gate of the museum attracts visitors.

 

 Over 2,000 exhibits are displayed in groups of animals and plants, helping the audience imagine clearly the development of the natural world.

 

Models of plants, animals and the evolution of humankind as well as the 3D film systems on the universe and animals fascinate the audience, especially the children.

 Opened in May, 2014, the museum welcomed some 30,000 visitors as of late 2014.

 
 

At present, the museum opens free for visitors. Every Wednesday and Thursday, the museum welcomes researchers, individuals, delegations of pupils and students who want to study natural history.

 

 Pupils consider the museum a place to study their subjects, especially biology.

 Apart from exhibits, the museum provides film screening programs.

 Easy-to-understand model of human evolution.

 Diagrams and notes about humankind’s migration and habitat.
