“Millions of arms” – towards flood victims

(CPV) – A music evening entitled “Millions of arms” was held at the Hanoi Cultural Friendship Palace with the aim of calling for the community to help and share difficulties with people in Quang Ninh Province as well as people in the mountainous region hit by the recent floods.

The event co-organised by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vietnam Televisions, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee took place on August 9th.

Through the music evening, the organizing board received huge supports from individuals and businesses which were sent to the Lao dong Newspaper’s Golden Heart Fund. More than VND12 billion was collected from Vietnam National Petroleum Group (VND5,2 billion); Vietnam JSC Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade – Vietinbank (VND2 billion), Vietnam Electricity (VND1 billion), Vietnam Televisions (VND1 billion)… and over VND600 million was collected on sending messages to 1406.
