Ba Be lake in the northern mountainous province of Bac Kan provides green space in August.

From Ba Be boat station, tourists can view a spacious vision to enjoy the poetic water-mountain scenery with clouds drifting over the mountain peaks.

Boats wait for tourists to discover the beauty of the nation’s largest natural fresh water lake.

Away from the boat station, the water takes an emerald green colour. The abundant source of water and suitable climate make the fauna and flora in the lake be ranked as the most plentiful in Vietnam. Trees of spectacular age are found surrounding the lake.

Dug-out boats typical in the lake are in queue to carry visitors.

Tien pond, a small one, provides pure water. The legend tells that the pond is a destination for fairies to rest after visiting the scenery.

A bamboo raft floating on the surface of the Tien pond, surrounded by stones of various shapes.

Going ashore, visitors can enjoy local specialties, including those taken from the lake.

Fish and fruits can be chosen as presents for friends and relatives.

Leaving Tien pond, tourists go through beautiful islands of the lake. Sometimes, they meet water-lily flowers outstanding on the surface of the water.

A wharf is painted green to suit the scenery. The whole space is in harmony in the green colour of the scenery.
