For nearly 100 years, artisans specialized in creating Buddhist statutes have been concentrated in ward 12, district 6, Ho Chi Minh city.

This career has not only held its own, but developed more and more here
near the center of the city.
Making a large statue requires several stages of casting statues of concrete
(iron, steel, cement and sand), copying (putting two pieces in one), then coated
with plaster, smoothing with sandpaper and painting the statues.
The statue products of the trade village have been exported to numerous countries around
the world, especially where there are Vietnamese communities.
At present, the trade village producing these statues has more than 10 bases and
the products are very abundant and diversified.
The trade village’s products are ordered by the people and pagodas across the country.
