Contemplating Kyoto Imperial Palace

Kyoto has one of the world’s largest collections of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Kyoto Imperial Palace attracts a large number of tourists annually.

Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was the residence of the Imperial family until
the capital was moved to Tokyo in 1869, is located in Kyoto Gyoen Park.

The ancient Kyoto Imperial Palace is the former ruling palace of the Emperor of Japan.
It holds a number of historical and cultural monuments with a long-standing temples
and silent streets, reminiscent of ancient Japan.

The palace is situated in the Kyoto-gyoen, a large rectangular enclosure 1,300 metres
North to South and 700 metres East to West.

There were 48 works including palaces inside

In the precinct of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, there is the
 Sento Imperial Palace garden with many ponds, lakes, small islands and a curved bridge.

Kyoto Imperial Palace is famous for its Japanese irreducible architecture.

A number of tourists visit the palace in spring to enjoy the beauty of  multi-coloured “flower season”.

In 1994, Kyoto Imperial Palace was recognized as a World Heritage Cultural Site by UNESCO.

It is the most desirable destination for tourists visiting the Japanese Imperial Palace.
