Standing apart from the crowds of Bat Trang pottery village or the fame of Duong Lam ancient village, Uoc Le ancient village has its own beauty - the beauty of quietness and of buildings bearing the stamp of time.
Located 30km southwest from the centre of Hanoi, Uoc Le ancient village is an unforgettable spot which draws affection from anyone who sets foot here. Contrary to the modern, bustling and scorching sun of the capital, in Uoc Le village you still find a rustic scene of peace and quietness under the sun of autumn afternoons.
The gate of Uoc Le Village contains quintessence of Vietnamese soul. It was built since the Mac Dynasty and is one of the most beautiful village entrances remaining today.
The shade of ancient trees covers the small shrine before the village entrance, creating familiar and idyllic features.
The market of the village is located between the two hamlets of Uoc Le and Phuc Thuy.
The bridge is across the ditch leading to the village. On the gate, four words "Mỹ tục khả phong" were carved.
