Tabebuia rosea blossom Sai Gon centre

When April comes, some streets in the center of Ho Chi Minh city are colourful with tabebuia rosea in blossom.
Grown in the city since 2009, tabebuia rosea trees bloom along streets such as Vo Van Kiet, Dien Bien Phu and others. The flowers bloom the most on Vo Van Kiet street, from Calmette Bridge to Thu Thiem Tunnel.
Flowering mainly from early April to June, its colour is nearly same as cherry blossom and the blooms have the shape of the trumpet.
Each mature tree is about 15 meters in height. Usually, when the flowers bloom, most of the leaves fall off.
The flowers only bloom in sunny weather. They flower quickly, but fall off quickly too.
These days, the weather in Saigon is sunny and hot, and the blossoms of the Tabebuia rosea make the city more romantic./.
