On September 22nd and 23rd, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology coordinated with the central Ninh Thuan provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival 2018; Colourful Culture of Ninh Thuan.
The event aimed to introduce the culture of Ninh Thuan to visitors through folk games and traditional art performances, while visitors and kids could gain more insights into local cuisine and handicraft products.
Children had an opportunity to learn about making the star-shaped lanterns, cardboard masks and lion heads from artisans.
Diverse folk games such as tug-of-war, di ca kheo (walking on stilts), jump rope, and o an quan (scattering and catching gravel) were held.
Kids were also interested in learning how to make moon cakes, com (green rice flakes) and trim flowers and fruit at a Cham people’s traditional house.
