Vietnam peacekeeping force dispatched for international duties

The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence, on October 1st organized a ceremony to see a delegation of the level-2 field hospital to South Sudan for their mission to the United Nations (UN).

Vietnam field hospital is dispatched for UN peacekeeping forces. This is the first time Vietnam has sent military doctors as part of UN peacekeeping forces.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, 12th PCC member and Deputy Defense Minister presented the State President’s Decision on establishing the level-2 field hospital at the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

Medical staffs of the field hospital watched a documentary film on Vietnam peacekeeping force to the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

"Being here today is a great honor for me. After four years of training, I’m ready for my duty. This is all for my country and my family,” doctor Sa Minh Ngoc shared.
