Building projects give Hanoi a new look

Feeling a new different Hanoi, numerous new building projects are contributing to changing the look of the capital to be more modern in the new period.
National Convention Center (NCC) in Hanoi is a major convention center located on Thang Long boulevard in Nam Tu Liem district. Construction started on November 15th 2004 and reached its completion in 22 months. NCC is one of three largest convention centers in Southeast Asian region.
The National Assembly House was constructed in the political center of Hanoi, with modern facilities over five floors and two basements, within a total area of 60,000 sq.m. There is a 17,000 sq.m. underground parking area on three basement levels. The project was awarded the prize of 2014 National Design Competition.
The Statue of Ly Thai To is a sculpture of Emperor Ly Thai To, founder of the Ly Dynasty of Vietnam. He also founded the city of Thang Long in 1010 which later became the city of Hanoi. The statue is the largest bronze sculpture in Vietnam.
Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower is a mixed-use supertall skyscraper in Pham Hung road. It is Vietnam’s highest building from 2010 to February 2018 and it is a symbol of current Vietnam’s economic growth in the scale of the building plus in providing services, which reinforces the highly-advanced city of Hanoi.
Thang Long boulevard was opened in 2010, costing VND8 trillion (US410 million). It starts at the intersection of Lang - Hoa Lac road and Ring Road 3, and ends at the intersection between Lang - Hoa Lac road, National Highway 21 and Ho Chi Minh Trail. It is 140-170m wide and has six express lanes
and two additional lanes for motorcycles and bicycles.
Dong Tru bridge is 1.14km long and 55m wide, spanning the Duong river and linking Long Bien district and the suburban district of Dong Anh. It was opened on October 9th, 2014 after 8 years of execution.
Vinh Tuy is a bridge over the Red River in Hanoi which was completed 2008. It was one of the millennial anniversary of Hanoi commemorative projects
along with the Thanh Tri bridge.
Nhat Tan bridge, also known as the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Bridge, was inaugurated in January 2015. It is the first cable-stayed bridge in Hanoi with a total length of 8.9km with five spans, representing the capital city's five ancient gates, crossing the Red river.
Noi Bai International Airport Terminal 2 officially opened in January 2015. The new terminal has a capacity to handle ten million international passengers a year, which can be expanded to cater up to 15 million passengers a year.
Trung Hoa - Nhan Chinh new urban area is one of the most essential centers of the city, connecting Hoa Lac High-tech Park with other city’s points
and plays a strategic role in terms of culture and economics.
Located between the city centre and the international airport, The Manor Hanoi is the first Luxury mixed-use development with residential apartments, offices, private houses and villas in Hanoi. This whole complex has a European design that reflects both classic and modern French architecture.
Being built based on the idea of a modern urban area with the architecture style of Singapore, Vinhomes Times City offers a luxurious living space, a full class of utility. Located in main gateway southeast of Hanoi, about 4km south of Hoan Kiem lake, near Vinh Tuy bridge and connected with the western gateway to the city center by freeway system, Vinhomes Times City project has the most prime location in the region.
As the most prominent project in Hanoi, Royal City is the convergence of outstanding modern facilities including the Class A Vincom Office, Asia’s largest underground shopping mall, unique amusement parks (an indoor water park, ice rink, Vinpearl Game, cinema, etc.), international schools, Vinmec International Clinic - Royal City, underground parking, outdoor and indoor heated all-weather swimming pools and sports facilities./.
