Though not paid salaries by the education branch, military teachers silently cooperating with teacher forces have cultivated letters to children in the northern border of Lai Chau.

Lai Chau is a province in the Northwest region of Vietnam; there are 23 border communes, with a more than 265km long border. Also, due to steep mountainous terrain and numerous ethnic minority communities, the local people's life is still difficult.

Also due to economic difficulties, educational standards are low, so the cause of education in border villages has a great many difficulties.

Apart from economic difficulties, children do not understand the national language, making it difficult for teachers to teach.

School material facilities in many villages are still only temporary houses, but teachers here still forget themselves in work.

Every day, teachers have to get up early to get down the mountain village and take children to school.

And taking care their meals and sleep

In order to encourage the children not to leave the school, the military teachers of the border guard have silently co-ordinate with the Party committee, the local authority and schools to mobilize their parents to let children go to school.

In addition to mobilizing students to school, the units, border posts in the area have adopted and taught more than 40 children with difficult circumstances
so that children continue to study.

Every day, the military teachers silently teach words for students in border mountains.

Along with teaching words, officers and soldiers of the border guard also coordinate with teachers teaching life skills for children of ethnic groups.

From the silent work of the teachers, especially the military ones, the quality of education in the border communes in Lai Chau province is gradually raised, and the face of the border village is gradually changed.
