Phu Tay Ho attracts thousands of people in lunar new year

Thousands of people flocked to Phu Tay Ho (West Lake Shrine) in December of the lunar new year to pray for wealth, luck and success.
Phu Tay Ho is on a peninsula of West Lake, Quang An ward of Hanoi’s Tay Ho district. It is considered as one of the most popular and important places of worship in the city.
It is on the northern bank of West Lake, a few kilometers along the lake road from Xuan Dieu street.
Pilgrims and visitors flocked to Phu Tay Ho from early day.

In the pantheon of genii worshiped by the Vietnamese people, Mother Goddess Lieu Hanh, one of the Four Immortals along with Tan Vien (the God of the Mountain), Saint Giong and Chu Dong Tu, is a saint of the beliefs in the Mother Goddesses of Four Realms originated from the Mother Goddess religion which is considered to be the most distinct and oldest religion of Vietnam.
Phu Tay Ho festival is mainly held on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month and the 13th day of the 8th lunar month.
