Uncle Ho visits Russian Federation’s province

In 1955, a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation led by President Ho Chi Minh paid an official visit to the Soviet Union for the first time. During this visit, the delegation visited Sverdlovsk province, an important industrial center of the former Soviet Union and the present Russian Federation.

The aircraft carrying the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation landed at Koltsovo airport. President Ho Chi Minh left the plane.

Russian children welcomed the Vietnamese delegation.

 

Thousands of Russian people welcomed the Vietnamese delegation on its way from the airport to the city.

 

The Vietnamese delegation visited Uralmash plant, a leading industrial business in Sverdlovsk specialized in producing machines for mining.

 

There still remains President Ho Chi Minh’s written evidence at the Uralmash plant’s museum showing his pleasure to see the plant’s achievements in the building of communism.

 

The Vietnamese delegation visited the Ural Geological Museum.

 

Uncle Ho and the Vietnamese delegation members were introduced to the museum by Professor Malak.

 

President Ho Chi Minh left written proof at the museum praising the richness of Ural land and people, and expressing his hope that Ural would take advantage of land and people to build communism.
