Lao Cai awakes tourism potential in highland commune

(CPV) - With the motto of taking culture and identity as the foundation for sustainable tourism development, Nghia Do, a highland commune of Bao Yen District, Lao Cai Province, promises to become an impressive name on the map of Vietnam's outstanding tourist destinations.

Nghia Do is a land with rich and diverse eco-tourism and humanistic tourism resources, notably a village of the Tay people with unique ancient stilt house architecture, charming natural scenery with beautiful streams, waterfalls, fields and mountains.

Along with traditional cultural values are folk songs, folk dances, traditional folk games handed down for hundreds of years, culinary culture, historical and cultural relics; and friendly and hospitable people.
