Nearly 3.4 million entries to online contest on history of special Vietnam-Laos relations

(CPV) - After 12 weeks, the online contest on the history of the Vietnam-Laos special relations has attracted 681,291 participants with 3,391,365 entries.

According to the Contest Organizing Board, from 16:00 on June 13 to 15:00 on September 5 (12 weeks), the contest system recorded 681,291 participants with 3,391,365 entries; 2,027 participants with 2,489 entries were Lao nationality. There were 85 other foreign contestants with 122 entries.

The contest "Studying the history of special Vietnam – Laos, Laos – Vietnam relations” 2022 is organized in the form of a weekly online quiz on the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper (CPV), VCNet social network and other press agencies from June 13, 2022 to September 5, 2022 at vietlao.dangcongsan.vn.
The contest aims to contribute to the success of "Vietnam - Laos Friendship Year 2022"; and practically celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam. It also aims to teach the revolutionary tradition, help the young generation of the two countries understand more deeply about the special friendship and solidarity between the two countries in the process of national liberation and building socialism in each country; and widely and pervasively inform all classes of people in the country and overseas Vietnamese communities, and international friends, about the historical significance and importance of the friendly relations, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples of Vietnam - Laos and Laos - Vietnam.
The Contest Organizing Board would like to thank the officials, people in Vietnam, Vietnamese and Lao citizens who are living, working, studying abroad, and international friends who participated in the contest. The Contest Organizing Board also would like to thank the departments, ministries, branches and central agencies; localities, units, schools and press agencies throughout the country that have offered cooperation and support for the successful contest.
Right after the Contest, the Organizing Board will conduct preparations for the closing and awarding ceremony. Details will be announced through invitations to weekly online quiz winners, as well as units and individuals with achievements in contest organization and implementation, and in the mass media.
