These days, on the way to Kim Lien Special National Relic site in Nam Dan district, the central province of Nghe An, purple ban flower blooms fill the sky like a beautiful picture.
The Soviet road, about 1.3km long, leading to the special Kim Lien National relic, is being “dressed up” by the purple color of the ban flower.
The end of February and the beginning of March every year is when the ban flowers bloom most brilliantly, impressing everyone who passes by.
Ban flowers mean bringing good things in life, symbolizing aspiration, strong will, indomitableness in the face of adversity, showing nobility, sincerity, warmth and affection.
The purple flower has no scent but sweet taste, each flower has 4-5 petals, pink stamens, and purple veins.
The typical flowers of the Northwest mountains and forests are often pink and purple mixed with white, showing off their gentle colors that captivate people.
For many years, the Soviet road has been known by everyone as “the road of ban flowers”.
Every day, Kim Lien relic site arranges for workers to clean and take care of the trees.
The delicate petals show off their fragrance.
The petals of the ban flowers falling on the road create a more romantic scene than ever.
Mr. Le Xuan Chung, Deputy Head of General Administration Department, Kim Lien relic site said: “The Nam Dan special-use forest management board was assigned to plant 296 flowering ban trees on the Soviet route. A year later, this flower road was handed over to the Kim Lien Special National Relic site for protection and care until now.
According to Mr. Chung, in addition to being planted on both sides of Soviet Street, ban flowers are also planted on the road to Chung Son Temple, the grave area of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan (mother of President Ho Chi Minh), creating a highlight for residents and tourists every time they return to Uncle Ho’s hometown./.
