Tan Lap floating village in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district, Long An province, is located in the center of Dong Thap Muoi region. The ancient land flooded all year round is only 15km from the border with Cambodia, and more than 100km from Ho Chi Minh City.
The road through the Melaleuca forest is more than 5km long, leading to Tan Lap floating village.
During the flood season, the surrounding fields are submerged in water, creating a natural haven with a brilliant green environment amid the flooded forest ecosystem of the Dong Thap Muoi region.
This is a suitable place for those who love to return to nature and explore the river culture of the Southwest region.
The floating season (from August to November of the lunar calendar every year) is the most suitable time to travel to the Mekong Delta in general and Tan Lap floating village in particular.
But even in the dry season (December to July of the lunar calendar), Tan Lap floating village is still picturesque.
The X-shaped bridge is made up of two roads crossing a vast field of flowers.
