Every May and June, the terraced fields across the northern mountains of Vietnam shimmer in the sun in the pouring water season, like a beautiful watercolor painting.
In May and June, when the summer rains begin to fall, it is also the time when people in the highlands go to the fields to plow to prepare for a new crop. The terraced fields, which were arid after harvest, are now full of water with the magical beauty of the pouring season.
