(GMT+7)
Farmers in Tan Trieu grapefruit village in Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province, are busy serving customers ahead of the 2023 lunar New Year Festival.
Ngo Van Son, who is considered the “king of grapefruit”, says that almost all of the grapefruits in his garden have been sold.
Shaped grapefruits
A farmer says that the price of grapefruit this year is decreased compared to previous years.
Final grapefruits are harvested.
Farmers harvest grapefruits.
Despite a bumper grapefruit crop, the fruits are sold at lower prices, therefore, farmers earn less.
In some small-scale gardens, farmers are caring for the fruits for sale during the final days of the lunar year.
Nguyen Van Khoa, a gardener with over 2,000 square meters of grapefruits, is caring for his products for sale.
Tan Trieu grapefruits are famous for good quality.
The fruits are carefully looked after before Tet.
