Vietnam - Laos friendship relationship through 500 documents, photos, artifacts and precious books

(CPV) - Nearly 500 precious documents, photos, artifacts and books reflecting truthfully and vividly the relationship between the two countries Vietnam and Laos are being introduced at the Vietnam National Museum of History, helping the public understand more about the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos through historical periods.

The exhibition of documents, photos, artifacts and books on "The great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam" chaired by the Party Central Committee Office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is being held from July 18 to October 18 at the Vietnam National Museum of History.

The exhibition aims to mark the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relationship (September 5) and 45 years since the signing of the bilateral treaty on amity and cooperation (July 18). 
The exhibits are organized in three contents: history of relations between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam; establishing diplomatic relations and tightening combat alliances Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam (1962-1977); and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam in the cause of national construction and development (1977-2022). 
 Among the documents are many precious and historically significant photographs, documents and artifacts, reflecting the great achievements of the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. The Lao Resistance Government was established on August 15, 1950. 
President Ho Chi Minh and Lao Prime Minister Souphanouvong at the northern Vietnam war zone in 1951. 
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Le Duan and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Van Dong, on behalf of the Vietnamese Party Central Committee and Government, presented the Lao Party Central Committee and Government with embroidered banners  which included President Ho Chi Minh's famous poem illustrating the great solidarity between the two countries, on July 16, 1977.

The exhibition introduces many other important documents, decisions and reports of the Party and State of Vietnam which reflect the relationship of solidarity and attachment in the revolutionary struggle and national independence of Vietnam and Laos.
