Vietnamese ambassador honoured most successful Asian ambassador in Egypt

During the award ceremony, Ambassador Cong shared with the Nile television, the Egyptian National Radio and Diplomatic Magazine of Vietnam’s 2 most important external affairs, especially its role as ASEAN Chair, which he said is an opportunity for Vietnam to make greater contributions to the development of the ASEAN Community.

Additionally, Vietnam has officially assumed the position of a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the term 2020-2021, and began serving as the chairman of the Security Council in January 2020. In order to continue implementing the foreign policy of independence and self-control; proactively and actively integrate into the world; and heighten multilateral diplomacy, Vietnam has been contributing to and being responsible to the international community’s work, thus heightening the country’s position, and deepening the relationship between Vietnam and other countries and with Egypt in particular.

In a dialogue on the Egyptian national radio, the Vietnamese ambassador reviewed the important points in the Vietnam - Egypt relationship over the past 60 years; giving an overview of the economy, culture, tourism and traditional beauty of Vietnam, as well as opportunities, challenges and prospects for Vietnam - Egypt relations in the near future./.
