ASEAN’s goods and culinary culture promoted in Europe

An event named "ASEAN Food Corner" was launched by the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP) on October 22 in order to promote the goods and culinary culture of ASEAN countries to consumers in the Czech Republic and Europe as well.

The event was organized under an initiative of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic which currently holds the ACP presidency.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam emphasized that ASEAN is a united community in diversity, with culinary culture and world-famous distinctive products.

According to him, “ASEAN Food Corner” is an opportunity to promote products of ASEAN member countries and get a broad access to the Czech market as well as the European Union (EU).

At the event, some typical products that are popular in the Czech market and many countries in the region are being sold, such as instant noodles, vermicelli, dry noodles, spices, Vietnamese coffee, Thai rice, alcoholic beverages of the Philippines and similar products from ASEAN countries.

Ambassadors of ASEAN countries in the Czech Republic highly appreciated the Vietnamese Embassy's initiative and the leading role of Vietnamese businesses./.
