At the congress, delegates elected the Executive Committee for the first term of the association. The congress elected Dr. Le Quy Vang as the Chairman, and Vice Chairmen and professional committees of the association.
The Association of Vietnamese Experts and Intellectuals in Denmark was established to gather, unite and connect Vietnamese experts, intellectuals, scientists as well as Vietnamese students and researchers working and studying at institutes, research institutions and universities of Denmark; help experts and intellectuals support each other in research, work and life; promote the ability and intelligence of each individual, as well as that of Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Denmark; contributing to the construction of the homeland, the country, and contributing to the development of Vietnam.
In addition, the association's activities are aimed at strengthening cooperation in science and technology between Vietnam and Denmark, contributing to consolidating and tightening the friendship between the two countries.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi emphasized that the community of Vietnamese experts, intellectuals and scientists, studying and working abroad, including the community of Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Denmark, is a great resource and a valuable asset for the cause of national construction and development.
The Ambassador affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention to and create good conditions for Vietnamese experts and intellectuals to confidently contribute to the development of the country, regardless of position and working environment.
He praised and highly appreciated the contribution of the team of Vietnamese experts and scientists in Denmark to the country over the past time, especially the extremely practical and timely contributions in the period the whole country focused on responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Nghi affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark will always accompany, support and work closely with the association to create the most favorable conditions and maximize the talents, intelligence and enthusiasm of the Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Denmark for the development of Vietnam and to promote Vietnam-Denmark relations.
On behalf of the Association of Vietnamese Experts and Intellectuals in Denmark, Dr. Le Quy Vang, Chairman of the association, gratefully thanked the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark for its support of the establishment and the organizations of activities of the association in the coming time. He pledged that the association would have practical, specific, methodical and long-lasting activities, contributing to the development of the country as well as Vietnam-Denmark relations./.
