The campaign "Proud of the Mountains and Rivers” launched by the Central Youth Union aims to strengthen education on patriotism and awareness of national sovereignty through the movement of displaying the Vietnam map at places to study and work.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka Ngo Trinh Ha said that the Vietnamese community in Japan has more than 530,000 people, and is growing.

Through the meaningful activities, the Consul General hopes that Japanese friends will have a deeper understanding of Vietnam and the people, and support the country’s territorial sovereignty.

Le Thuong, Chairwoman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Kansai, said that the Vietnam map is a symbol of national sovereignty and the pride of Vietnamese people.

With each map displayed, many Vietnamese people living, working and studying in Japan will understand more about the country's geographical indications and the long history of people fighting to protect the land.

On this occasion, the organizing committee presented the map of Vietnam to Osaka University, the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association, YouTuber Betonamu Kun, the Fukuoka Vietnamese Association, the Toyama Vietnamese Association and JVS, among others./.
