Conference on implementing project on policy to effectively promote remittance resources to be held in HCMC

The event will be directly held at the headquarters of the HCMC Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and online via Zoom on October 11.

The conference is expected to be attended by leaders of the Party Committee, the People's Committee of HCMC, leaders of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; departments, sectors and units participating in the development of the project including: State Bank of Vietnam - HCMC Branch; Departments of Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry and Trade, Tourism, Culture and Sports, Foreign Affairs, Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs, Justice, Information and Communications, Public Security; Union of Friendship Organizations of the city, Center for Trade and Investment Promotion, State Financial Investment Company and Tax Department.

The event will also be attended by leaders of the People's Committees of 21 districts and Thu Duc city; overseas Vietnamese businessmen and intellectuals; leaders of the HCMC Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, overseas Vietnamese businesses operating in the city; commercial banks and remittance companies; units signing MOUs with the HCMC Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.

In addition, representatives of Vietnamese Embassies in other countries; Association of Vietnamese intellectuals and Vietnamese businessmen in the US, Australia, Japan, Denmark, Korea, Finland and Sweden will attend online.

On September 26, the leaders of HCMC People's Committee officially signed and issued the project "Policy to effectively promote remittance resources in HCMC from now until 2030" and issued a plan to assign tasks to departments, sectors, people's committees of districts and Thu Duc city to carry out the project./.
