Hiroshima Vietnamese community Football tournament attracts 16 teams

FAVIJA CHUGOKU CUP 2024, a football tournament of the Vietnamese community in the Chugoku region, was held in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan on September 29.

The football tournament was organized by the Vietnam - Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA), with the participation of 16 non-professional football teams of Vietnamese people studying, working and living in the Chugoku region.

The tournament is not only a sports playground to improve health, but also an opportunity for young Vietnamese people in the region to meet, exchange and help each other as well as strengthening the close relationship between overseas Vietnamese and local people.

The organizing board presents the Championship Cup to FC Mien Tay Okayama. The runner-up was FC 37 Hiroshima, and the two third-place teams were FC Saidaiji and FC Phu Tho.

Mr. Do Quang Ba, chairman of FAVIJA, said that the four teams that won the highest prizes this time are also chosen to attend the National Vietnamese Football Congress in Japan, which will be held at the end of November in the capital Tokyo./.
