Japan Ao Dai Library in Osaka launched

The Vietnam Women's Association in Kansai region coordinated with the Trade Union of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka (Japan) on October 18 to organize an event celebrating the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024), 14th anniversary of the Vietnamese Women's Day and launching the Japan Ao Dai Library.

In her opening speech, Ms. Le Thuong, Vice President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Japan and Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Association in Kansai region, reviewed the formation and development process of the Vietnam Women's Union over 94 years.

She said that Vietnamese women living and working in the Kansai region, and across Japan always try to promote the qualities, roles and strengths of Vietnamese women in the new era to make many contributions to their families and society.

Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Ngo Trinh Ha highly appreciated the establishment of the Japan Ao Dai Library in Osaka, which is a new model but also contributes to spreading the image of Vietnamese people and Vietnamese national costumes to Japanese friends.

At the program, Ms. Nguyen Hai Yen, President of the Trade Union of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, representing the Vietnam Women's Union, presented 50 sets of Ao Dai to the Japan Ao Dai Library.

The action aims to promote images as well as creating conditions for Vietnamese women to wear their favorite Ao Dai in Japan./.
