Under the MoU, the financial group will develop and provide various financial initiatives to ensure the financial security for Vietnamese students in the RoK.
The cooperation comes as financial fraud, such as phishing scams, targeting international students in the RoK has been increasing.
Since July, the financial group has been working with the VSAK to train four Vietnamese students to manage their financial programs, which launched in August.
The programs are delivered in Vietnamese by trained instructors and cover topics such as phishing prevention, bank transactions and foreign exchange.
Hwang Byung-woo, CEO of the DGB Financial Group, said the group will actively provide various financial programs to ensure that Vietnamese students in the RoK, who are eager to learn, can enhance their financial knowledge.
The headquarters of DGB Financial Group is located in Daegu, which is the 4th largest city in the RoK and it owns Daegu Bank, one of the largest regional banks in the country./.
