The event aims to raise funds for the upcoming mid-autumn festival for Vietnamese children.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Mai Phuoc Dung said that the event was an opportunity for the community to come together, and turn their hearts to the homeland.

During the concert, lovely melodies about Hanoi by famous musicians such as Tran Tien, Phu Quang, Trinh Cong Son and Ngo Thuy Mien were performed by professional singers and Vietnamese talents.

Trinh Thi Mai, a 39-year-old worker who has been in Singapore for five years, said she was delighted to attend this meaningful event.

Ms. Liz Nguyen, a representative from the organising board, said the event was meticulously prepared, and the proceeds, though small in value, will make practical contributions to organising the mid-autumn festival for the children in September./.
