Members of Kyukeiren want to invest in Vietnam

Vietnamese Consul General in Fukuoka Vu Chi Mai on January 16 attended an internal meeting of the Kyushu Economic Federation (Kyukeiren) on "Promoting trade and investment for member businesses of Kyukeiren in the Vietnamese market".

At the meeting, Mr. Kuratomi Sumio, Chairman of Kyukeiren, said that Vietnam is an important partner of Japan. More specifically, on the occasion of the official visit to Japan by President Vo Van Thuong in November 2023, the two countries upgraded the diplomatic relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.
Following the development momentum of that relationship, many member companies of Kyukeiren now want to invest, cooperate and promote trade in Vietnam. This meeting is to inform and help member companies of Kyukeiren better understand the economic situation and trade promotion possibilities in Vietnam.
Consul General Vu Chi Mai highlighted information and policies calling for investment, reforms of administrative procedures, and policies to support foreign businesses to invest in Vietnam.
Ms. Vu Chi Mai affirmed that the Consulate General always accompanies and is a bridge to support Japanese businesses that wish to invest and do business in Vietnam.
At the event, a number of businesses that have invested in Vietnam shared their experiences and affirmed that Vietnam is a potential and stable market./.
