Military officers pay tribute to Uncle Ho in Russia

Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, on August 25 led a high-ranking working delegation of the Vietnam People's Army to Russia and offered flowers at the monument of President Ho Chi Minh in Moscow.

Members of the delegation observed a minute of silence in memory of President Ho Chi Minh, who laid the foundation for the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia; and placed fresh flowers in front of the monument, expressing gratitude and respect to President Ho Chi Minh, a great friend of the Russian people.
After the flower offering ceremony, the delegation of the Vietnam People's Army visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, where Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan informed about the ongoing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, and affirmed the military's responsibility to contribute to the prevention and fighting of the pandemic.
He also informed about some initial achievements of the Vietnam People's Army delegation participating in the Army Games 2021, affirming that foreign defense activities, including participation in the Army Games, have contributed to strengthening the relationship between the two countries of Vietnam and Russia in general, and the two militaries in particular.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi expressed his pleasure to welcome the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnam People's Army to the Russian Federation for work.
The Ambassador affirmed that the participation of the Vietnam People's Army delegation at the Army Games 2021 demonstrates the bravery and qualifications of the Vietnam People's Army, and contributes to further strengthening defense relations between the two countries./.
