Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Sivanheuang Phengkhammay, Rector of the Nguyen Du School, highlighted the school’s commitment to quality education, emphasizing that teachers and staff members strive to be role models for students to follow and make more contributions to the development of the school and its educational mission.

Counsellor and standing member of the Community Affairs Committee of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos Nguyen Thi Thuan highly appreciated the school’s long-standing tradition and said it is a typical example in teaching Vietnamese for the Vietnamese community in Laos. She also noted the school’s role in fostering talented students who have contributed to the socio-economic development of Laos.

Over the years of construction and development, Nguyen Du School has gained many achievements and become a leading educational institution in Vientiane. It has generated many talents who are serving both Laos and Vietnam.

At the ceremony, outstanding students and those facing hardships were presented scholarships and gifts to help them continue their study efforts, and then contribute to develop the country as well as contribute to the strong and enduring friendship between Vietnam and Laos./.
