Overseas Vietnamese in Czech Republic celebrate Tet Festival 2024

The Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic in collaboration with the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the country held the Lunar New Year Festival 2024 with the performances by artists from Ho Chi Minh City's art troupe.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Dinh Thang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese People Associations in Europe and Honorary Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic, said that in 2023, the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic faced various difficulties due to the impact of the regional and world situation. However, overseas Vietnamese associations in the country always accompanied the community, organizing many practical activities towards the homeland, preserving national cultural traditions as well as making contributions to the host country.

Nguyen Dieu Linh, Charge d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic, stated that the bilateral relationship saw remarkable development last year with both sides enhancing exchanges at high levels.

She also highly appreciated of the important role of the Vietnamese community as a bridge to promote the traditional friendship between the countries.

Within the framework of the program, overseas Vietnamese and Czech friends enjoyed a unique art program imbued with Vietnamese national traditions performed by artists from Ho Chi Minh City's art troupe./.
