The highlight of the program was a performance honoring the beauty of Ao Dai (traditional long dress) along with cultural exchange performances, contributing to strengthening the connection of the Vietnamese community across Europe towards the homeland on the occasion of the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year of the nation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of the Union of Overseas Vietnamese Associations in Europe Hoang Dinh Thang highly appreciated the efforts of the organizing board in connecting the members of the "Charity Fund - Mrs. Ao Dai Vietnam Europe”, and those who participated in the first Mrs. Ao Dai Vietnam Europe contest in 2018 to prepare for the 2nd contest scheduled to be held in July 2022, after nearly 2 years of interruption due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to him, the contest is not only a simple cultural activity, but also shows the traditions of the Vietnamese nation, contributing to strengthening the connection of the Vietnamese community across Europe towards the country.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Thai Xuan Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the establishment of the "Charity Fund - Mrs. Ao Dai Vietnam Europe", following the success of the first Mrs. Ao Dai Vietnam Europe contest, with many humanitarian, practical and effective activities to help people in difficult situations in Vietnam as well as overseas Vietnamese in European countries.

Over the past time, the fund has organized many meaningful charity activities, especially joining hands with the Vietnamese community in European countries to raise funds to support Vietnamese people in the homeland to overcome the consequences of natural disasters as well as supporting people in both Vietnam and the host country to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic hopes that the Union of Overseas Vietnamese in Europe and the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic will continue to accompany the Vietnam Culture and Art Association in the Czech Republic to organize cultural and art activities to preserve and promote national traditional culture, spread humanity, and contribute to strengthen solidarity within the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic as well as across Europe towards the homeland.

At the event, the participants enjoyed the performances of Ao Dai and evening dress performed by members of the "Charity Fund - Mrs. Ao Dai Vietnam Europe" as well as songs about spring and traditional Vietnamese dishes./.
