In the meeting to summarize the support activities with the participation of over 30 associations and groups of overseas Vietnamese, the Executive Committee of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Hungary reviewed the touching days since Storm No. 3 devastated the northern provinces and caused painful losses in human lives and property.

Responding to the association's appeal, some donations for the Mid-Autumn Festival were willingly transferred to the fund to support people affected by the storm and floods.

At the event, Mr. Phung Kim San, Permanent Vice President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Hungary, said that this is a great contribution for a small community, and expressed his pride in a very humane community, always responsible for each other and for the country.

At the meeting, the Executive Board of the Association also committed to directly sending the donation to the people and areas most devastated by the storm and floods in the fastest time and in the most careful manner.

According to official statistics of the Hungarian government, as a small community in Central Europe with about 6,500 Vietnamese people, the Vietnamese community in Hungary is assessed to be deeply integrated into the local society, being diligent, obeying the law and making significant contributions to the relationship between the two countries./.
