Immediately after the appeal was issued, on September 10, SUNSHINE Joint Stock Company (Japan) launched an emergency relief package for people in localities affected by floods with an amount of 200 million VND.

SUNSHINE staff in Vietnam immediately purchased and packaged food, hygiene and medical supplies for the first relief trip to Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai provinces.

On September 12, the company will carry out the second relief trip, transferring 1 ton of rice to the disaster area. SUNSHINE Company will also disburse an additional 300 million VND to purchase goods to continue the third relief aid for people in the flooded areas.

Overseas Vietnamese associations in Osaka have also organized practical activities to support people at home.

Mr. Vu Hoang Duc, Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Economic Cooperation Promotion Association, sent 50 million VND to Vietnam as soon as he received news that the typhoon had affected many provinces and cities, causing great damage to people and property.

The Vietnamese Women's Association in Kansai region and the Bamboo Vietnamese Language School (Japan) have sent one ton of rice to support people affected by the typhoon through the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.

This is also one of the first supports sent by overseas Vietnamese through the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs to share with people at home to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Japan, said that Vietnamese associations, businesses and individuals in Japan immediately responded to the call and carried out timely relief work for people who are suffering from the heavy impact of the typhoon and flood.

He affirmed that, with the spirit of mutual love, the Union of Overseas Vietnamese Associations in Japan will continue to call for support for localities in the affected areas.

Mr. Son hopes that with the joint efforts of businesses, entrepreneurs and the entire Vietnamese community in Japan, people in the typhoon and flood-affected areas will quickly overcome difficulties and soon be able to resume normal life./.
