Overseas Vietnamese in Thailand make practical contributions to homeland’s sea and islands

On the occasion of her working session to the Global Women's Summit, on June 26, Ms. Truong My Hoa, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice State President, President of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, and President of the Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa", had a meeting with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of overseas Vietnamese people and students in Thailand.

At the meeting, Ms. Truong My Hoa highly appreciated and wished that the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand would continue to fulfill the political tasks assigned by the Party, State and Government, contributing to consolidating and promoting the Vietnam – Thailand cooperation relationship to develop comprehensively in all fields.

She spent time sharing with the Embassy staff and representatives of overseas Vietnamese people and students in Thailand about the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa".

The Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" was established 8 years ago in the context of the complicated situation in the East Sea.

The former Vice State President called on the overseas Vietnamese in Thailand to continue to join hands in building a united community, actively contributing to the development of the host country, promoting the role of a bridge, contributing to building the increasingly sustainable Vietnam-Thailand relationship.

On behalf of the officials and staff of the Embassy and the overseas Vietnamese community in Thailand, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh emphasized that the meeting is a very valuable opportunity for the former Vice State President to share about the very noble work that the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the Club "For beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" are doing.

In order to strengthen the connection between the club and the overseas Vietnamese community in general and Thailand in particular, former Vice State President Truong My Hoa presented the decision to add Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa, Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the All-Thai Vietnamese General Association, and President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Udon Thani, to the Board of Chairpersons of the club "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa”./.
