Tanzania desires to promote cooperation with Vietnam

After the presentation of the credential letter, President Samia Suluhu Hassan warmly received Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen. At the reception, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen conveyed the regards and best wishes of General Secretary and President To Lam to President Samia Suluhu Hassan, the government and people of Tanzania, and an invitation for the President to soon visit Vietnam.

Ambassador Huyen affirmed that she will make every effort to expand and deepen the friendship and multifaceted cooperation as well as enhance mutual understanding and traditional friendship between the two countries; at the same time, she hopes to receive active support from President Samia Suluhu Hassan and the Tanzanian Government during her term of office.

President Hassan congratulated Ambassador Huyen on the appointment and extended her best wishes to Vietnamese Party General Secretary and President To Lam, as well as to the Government and people of Vietnam.

President Hassan asked the ambassador to convey her invitation for Party General Secretary and President To Lam to visit Tanzania soon to further strengthen the traditional bilateral friendship and cooperation, especially when the two countries will celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic ties next year.

She expressed her wish to visit Vietnam soon and said she admires the country’s achievements, highlighting Tanzania’s interest in learning from and collaborating with S-shaped country in key areas such as agriculture, green economy, tourism, information technology, and communications.

She committed to working with the Tanzanian Government to create conditions for Ambassador Huyen to successfully fulfill her tasks./.
