Uncle Ho statue presented to President Ho Chi Minh's relic site in Kunming, China

On behalf of the Consulate General and the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Yunnan, Vietnamese Consul General Nguyen Trung Hieu on November 19 presented an Uncle Ho statue and 41 artifacts to Mr. Liu Jia Zhen, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Kunming city.

The event was witnessed by Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai and Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Wang Ninh.

The artifacts were donated by the Consulate General, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Yunnan, the Consular Delegation in Kunming, Vietnamese-Chinese friendship personnel and businesses, and crafted by the Ho Chi Minh Museum under the direction of Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The artifacts include a bust of President Ho Chi Minh in bronze with a base 1.9 m high and 0.9 m wide, and 41 restored artifacts, including items serving President Ho Chi Minh's daily life such as gymnastics set, books and badges of good people, good deeds launched and rewarded by President Ho Chi Minh, photo and manuscript documents and articles about good people, good deeds written by President Ho Chi Minh.

President Ho Chi Minh’s relic site in Kunming City began to be restored on May 19, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022./.
