At the press conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sweden Tran Van Tuan informed about main commemorative activities such as: the Vietnam - Sweden Business Forum 2024 will take place at the Musikaliska Kvarteret Theater in Stockholm on September 6. The forum, themed "Digital Transformation - Energy Transformation - Innovation: Cooperation for a sustainable development future," organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden in coordination with the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden and FPT Group, is expected to attract hundreds of delegates representing agencies, organizations and businesses of the two countries.
Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize a photo and handicraft exhibition with the theme "Colors of Vietnamese Culture" and images promoting the tourism potential of Cat Ba Archipelago will be introduced by the Hai Phong City People's Committee at the Musikaliska Kvarteret Theater.
Also on September 6, Hanoi’s Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club will perform Ao Dai collections inspired by typical images of Vietnam and Sweden as well as symbols of the relationship between the two countries.
The highlight of the events is the celebration of the 79th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 55th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Sweden, with the participation of representatives of the Swedish Government, leaders of Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and a number of agencies and functional departments of the two countries, Swedish friends loving Vietnam and a large Vietnamese community in Sweden.
At the ceremony, the audience will watch the reportage "Vietnam - Sweden: More than half a century of warm friendship" produced by the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden and enjoy a special musical program performed by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and Sweden’s Marladalen University.
Besides, activities to celebrate the relationship between the two countries will also be held in many localities in Sweden, including: a music performance program organized by the Vietnam National Academy of Music in coordination with the Academy of Music of Malmo City (Sweden); a Vietnamese painting and handicraft exhibition hosted by Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on September 8; a Vietnamese music grand festival will be held in Helsingborg on September 14; a community exchange program and art performance held by the Ho Chi Minh City art troupe in Stockholm and some neighboring cities on September 21.
A photo exhibition on 55 years of Vietnam - Sweden relations and debut of a bilingual book in Vietnamese and Swedish "The world's people's affection for President Ho Chi Minh" will be held in Stockholm at the end of October and the beginning of November 2024.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden hopes that the series of events will contribute to further tightening the traditional friendship between the two countries, while helping Swedish people and businesses have more authentic, useful and diverse information about the country, people, economy and culture of Vietnam./.
