According to Mr. Ly Xuong Can, the Vietnam Cultural Centre in RoK will contribute to promoting cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, especially as the number of Vietnamese people living in RoK is increasing.

Recalling the Ly family's roots in Vietnam, he expressed his honor and pride in contributing to the development of Vietnamese tourism. From 2017, after being appointed as the Ambassador of Vietnam Tourism in RoK, he has made efforts to do many activities to promote Vietnam's tourism in RoK.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong said that descendants of the Vietnamese Ly family in RoK are positively contributing to the development of relations between the two countries. Among them, Tourism Ambassador Ly Xuong Can, a child of Vietnam and RoK, has become a tourism bridge between the two peoples and two countries.

According to him, in recent times the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and RoK has developed strongly and comprehensively in all fields. In particular, cooperation in culture, sports and tourism has achieved many important results. In the tourism sector alone, by 2023 the total two-way tourist exchange between Vietnam and RoK reached about 4 million arrivals. RoK is Vietnam's largest sending market with 3.6 million arrivals. In the opposite direction, Vietnam is also RoK's top tourist source market in Southeast Asia with about 420 thousand arrivals.

However, Mr. Phong also noted that there is still a lot of room for cooperation between Vietnam and RoK. This requires us to make more efforts and do better to achieve greater results. He hoped that Ambassador Ly Xuong Can would continue to research to not only be a bridge to advertise and promote tourism, but also to come up with ideas, suggestions and recommendations to jointly build new tourism products and improve awareness, training tourism human resources, promoting air transport, promoting destinations and connecting travel.

The Deputy Minister also asked the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Department of International Cooperation and Vietnamese localities and businesses to take advantage of Ambassador Ly Xuong Can's role as a tourism bridge to promote cooperation and develop tourism more effectively./.
