Vietnam presents friendship order to Kaysone Phomvihane museum

A ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane on June 7 to present the Friendship Order to the Kaysone Phomvihane museum for its vigorous activities to honour President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung praised and thanked the museum for its effective activities over the past time, contributing to honouring President Ho Chi Minh, who is a national liberation hero of Vietnam and a great man of culture of the world, an embodiment of the special friendship between the two countries.
He also expressed his hope that the museum will continue to promote the sound work, helping to cement the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
For his part, Director of the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum Department Xayalath Phoneyalak expressed his honour as the museum received the noble order of the State of Vietnam.
The department is being assigned by the Lao People's Revolutionary Party to be in charge of the construction and management of President Ho Chi Minh's memorial sites in three locations in Vientiane, the provinces of Khammuane and Savannakhet.
He also emphasised works carried out by the two sides have contributed to further strengthen the great and long-standing friendship relations between Vietnam and Laos./.
